Story

Abi is running the Plymouth Half marathon, Claire and Tracey the 10k then all of us are doing he Ivybridve 10k in May - those who knew Nigel know how running was a big part of his life.

Nigel, Tracey’s dad and Abi’s grandad and as good as family to Claire lost his battle with cancer in November 2023 - the support we received from St Luke’s enabled Dad to remain at home until he peacefully passed away we cannot thank them enough for the care and compassion they gave to not just dad but mum and myself. The nurses who came to help him had him smiling and still telling tales of navy days and talking sport up until the end. Dad was an avid runner and while none us will manage to match his half marathon time of 1 hour 30 mins we will be running in his honour to raise money for this amazing charity. Please help us raise funds and know that Nigel will be willing us on over the hills and to go that little bit faster!

Thank you Tracey Abi and Claire

At home, in hospital or at the specialist unit based in Turnchapel, the money you raise on your run will help St Luke's to continue to provide specialist care for our patients and support for their families in your local community.

Thank You, for your kind support.
