Story
This summer we will be completing a very ambitious 1400-mile charity bike ride in two weeks for the Max Windle Memorial Trust, aiming to raise as much money as possible. Set up after Max – a friend of Barney’s – tragically passed away at the age of 16 after suffering with depression, the MWMT is committed to helping people of all ages, but especially young adults, who are suffering with their mental health, by direct funding initiatives and programs.
For our ride, we will be cycling between the rugby stadiums of all of the original teams in the Five Nations tournament – France, Scotland, Ireland, Wales and England. Whilst also being for an extremely important cause, this ride is also very exciting for us, as lifelong local friends who played rugby together from the age of 5. As well as this, Max too was a keen rugby player, representing his school on numerous occasions. We are trying to highlight the importance of people speaking out when they are struggling – if we can complete such a difficult challenge, it really puts into perspective just how easy it is simply to ask for help.
We would really appreciate any donation - whatever the amount - to support this amazing charity.
Thank you!
Barney and Luke
