Story
Like the rest of the country, I started cycling during Covid. Like the rest of the country, since the pandemic ended, so did my cycling... For the last two years my bike has taken pride of place in my shed - I find it a useful place to keep old tools and paint tins on. Now though I’m coming out of retirement for one day only - to ride 80 miles because Tajri forced me to…. Please sponsor me. See copy pasted serious blurb below… short version: it’s for a good cause
In August this year, Muhammadi Madrasah students will be spending 2 weeks at the Kibaha camp run by WIPAHS, in Tanzania. The students will be volunteering their time helping with various projects and also spending time with the orphans.
As part of this volunteering, We would like to raise funds that will help pay for the education of 4 orphans, from when they start nursery until they complete their secondary education.
The target is ambitious, but we know with the help of our community, we will raise the required funds in no time.
We therefore invite the whole community to join us in sponsoring these 4 orphans, by raising funds in whatever way you can, be it a sponsored walk, run, cycle ride or climbing a mountain or even setting up a tuck shop.
Imam Ali (as) is known as the 'Father of the Orphans" because he dedicated his life towards looking after the orphans. Let us therefore follow in the footsteps of our master and help educate these less fortunate children.
