Story
We work as Dental Nurses in Faversham and we will be walking from Margate to Herne Bay to raise money for Bone Cancer Research. Recently one of our colleagues was diagnosed with a giant cell tumour. This is when we realised actually how underfunded this charity is. We would like to give something back to enable them to help others who find themselves in a similar situation and to fund research and development into future treatments. Having had a diagnosis of this condition support has been given from this charity as well as the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. The support they provide for so many people who are diagnosed is invaluable, we would love to raise money to help others with these life changing situations. To follow her story please find attached the link below:

The Bone Cancer Research Trust is dedicated to saving lives & improving outcomes for people affected by primary bone cancer. Despite being small, they fund more research projects exploring primary bone cancer than any other organisation. Other large UK cancer research charities do not prioritise bone cancer patients, in 2019 just 0.028% of their research spend went to bone cancer – not even close to 1%! Last year alone, Bone Cancer Research Trust committed an incredible £807,824 to pioneering bone cancer research - to save lives!
