Tony is fundraising for Jacob's Join, a Special Named Fund at Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group by attempting to Run/walk the Lakeland 50

I completed this event in 2021 and was supposed to do it again in 2022 but instead I was fighting was bowel cancer. I’ve been lucky and I am currently in remission. The experience of cancer is a challenge to someone of my age, chemotherapy in particular takes its toll. No child should have to face this and no parent should have to watch their child go through it. Jacobs join was set up in memory of a little boy who sadly lost his life and it supports the Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group. I will do my very best but as I’m still experiencing some side effects from chemo I may not make the full 50 miles but I’m getting my fitness back and I am determined to get my toes on the start line.
