Story
Hi there.....
Most of you know me well or very well.
I'm running in the Great North Run on September 10th to raise money for the Macmillan Cancer Support charity because I want to give something back.....and at 67 years old I still can.
My dad died of liver cancer a while back and he and my wider family received superb support from Macmillan in the tough times leading up to his death.
I had aggressive Stage 3 prostate cancer back in 2018....and I'm still ok after excellent diagnosis, surgery & continuing care.
I lost a good friend to cancer very recently. Other family members and friends have had recent diagnoses of cancer and have had excellent treatment, care & support
I'm running to raise funds for the future diagnosis, care & wide ranging support...... hopefully not for you or any of your family & friends....but you never can tell with cancer....it doesn't discriminate or care.
A kind donation from you of any amount you can afford in these financially challenging times, will be massively appreciated by me, of course.....but more importantly by people you may never ever get to meet.
My sincerest of thanks.....
Tony ("Sharpy" is on my running vest!) x
