Story
Earlier this year, a friend of mine became one of the 1 in 8 men in the UK to be diagnosed with prostate cancer. Following treatment, his prognosis is excellent but he urged all his male friends to get tested. I duly got tested and was identified as also having prostate cancer and I am now undergoing treatment.
What I came to realise, was that without my friend’s urging, I may not have been diagnosed early enough for my prognosis to be as good.
I, like a lot of men, may have ignored the mild symptoms worsening my chances of recovery.
I'm taking on the Walk 60 Miles in November Challenge, because I want to help Prostate Cancer UK with their research and education efforts.
Please support me by donating what you can to Prostate Cancer Research, who fund breakthrough science to make this mission a reality. Thank you!
