The initiative is organized by Ton Verleg (DHL Express) and Koen Keuren (DHL Freight). Ton and Koen are both based in Bonn, Germany and passionate cyclists themselves, as well as regular fundraisers. This year, they are giving others the chance to join them on a mission to raise EUR 20,000 for brain cancer research. The inspiration for the project was the death of our former DHL Express colleague David Wilson, who battled brain cancer for seven years following his 2015 diagnosis.

To raise this money, 20 DHL colleagues will cycle 460 kilometers over a period of four days, from Vienna to Prague. It will be a picturesque ride over smooth terrain, with overnight accommodation provided in between, sponsored by DHL Express.

The tour is managed by a professional organization who will provide guiding riders and a van to take luggage from stop to stop.

The money will be donated to two organizations: Worldwide Cancer Research (UK) and the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre (Toronto, Canada), where our colleague David Wilson received treatment in the final years of his life.
