Story
I’m running the Brighton Marathon to raise money for Lymphoma Out Loud a charity with a rebel spirit, determined to educate, empower and ensure everyone is aware of the signs and symptoms of the devastating blood cancer, lymphoma.
So I’m giving up alcohol, cutting out junk food, and training my fat arse to take part in this gruelling endeavour……
WHY, What’s the reason…?
My dad, …a man who has given me so much, my love for Art, Punk and HXC music. A man who has never let me down, who has encouraged me to be me, and not to conform to the pattern of this world, who has inspired, mentored and guided me and gifted me with the blueprint of how to be a good father.
So what’s happened?
Well my world came crashing down when I given the news that my hero had been diagnosed with an extremely aggressive form of lymphoma, a devastating disease that he is currently fighting everyday.
And I feel helpless, as I don't have the power to cure this or to stop it, all I can do is show him my love and support as he takes on this battle, and be with him every step of the fight.
So I have decided to take on the difficult task of running a marathon, a task that is dwarfed in comparison to what he has faced over the last year, but if I can put myself through some pain and some tough moments in his honour and raise some money for a charity in the process then I’m gonna feel like I’m doing something.
So I ask you to get behind me and help me throw lymphoma the middle finger!!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my page, I would really appreciate your support in the form of any donation that you can give in order to help me reach or break my goal of £600. I thank each and every one of you in advance. I will do my best to update my page on my progress as I take on this challenge.
