The Chairman's Great Tommy Sleep Out 2025 · 27 March 2025 ·

On Thursday 27th March, our Chairman, is holding an exclusive sleep out at The Trenches in Detling Showground, where influencial business leaders will be sleeping out under the stars for one night, while fundraising for our most vulnerable veterans.

Story

I am extremely proud to have been given the chance to support veterans who are experiencing homelessness in the UK right now. Having myself served many years ago, I know it leaves a mark on the soul and mind of many of those who have served. While I have been fortunate getting to the other side of the challenges, many of our veterans are still dealing with the consequences, affecting life in so many ways and in too many cases resulting in homelessness. It is an honour to do my small part in raising awareness for our homeless veterans and I hope you will help me support them through the Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI) Chairman’s Sleep Out 2025. The Chairman’s Sleep Out 2025 features a 150-meter-long first World War trench in Kent, recreated by a dedicated team of history enthusiasts to give us a small insight into the conditions and environment that existed then. I am looking forward to hearing first-hand the experience of veterans who have been helped by the RBLI, and finding out more about how the funds raised by the Thales Team fundraiser will continue that vital support for veterans and their families at their time of need. Please wish us mild weather  and contribute to much-needed funds for those who have served and sacrificed so much to protect our nation and way of life.
