Story

I am running the London Marathon this year in memory of my beautiful cousin Grace Payne, who sadly lost her life in November 2022 age 21. She was travelling home in a taxi after enjoying a night out in London with her work colleagues, when the car was hit head on by an intoxicated driver travelling the wrong way down the duel carriage way.

Grace was an amazing person, extremely funny, intelligent and kind hearted, and is missed dearly every single day by our family and her wonderful friends.

I will be raising money for Brake as they have been an enormous support for our family and friends throughout this terribly sad time. Brake is a national road safety charity that cares for people bereaved and injured in road crashes and campaigns for safer roads for all.

Every day, five people die on UK roads and many more are seriously injured. When the worst happens, Brake is here to help. Go to www.brake.org.uk to find out more and support our vital work.
