Story
Since August 2011, Crisis Merseyside has been pivotal in supporting thousands of individuals to leave homelessness behind for good.
The staff and supporters at Crisis Skylight Merseyside are now taking on a fundraising challenge to aid Crisis UK's mission to end homelessness on 27th January at Liverpool Queens Dock where we will betaking the plunge into the ice cold water and staying in for at least 1 minute!
It's essential for everyone to have a decent home for health and prosperity. Unfortunately, this basic right is not a reality for many across the UK, which is simply unacceptable. At Crisis, we work hand-in-hand with countless people each year, guiding them out of homelessness. Our services range from helping with benefits and healthcare access to finding employment opportunities.
Our primary focus is to reduce the immense strain of homelessness by assisting people in securing safe and affordable housing as soon as possible. We pay special attention to those who face the most complex challenges and have limited options.
In addition to individual aid, we strive to address the systemic issues that lead to homelessness. We engage in advocacy for political change to permanently end homelessness and conduct research to better understand its scope, causes, and effects.
