Ride the Reservoir returns for its 10th year! Take on 75km, 100km or 100miles all in support of Birmingham Hospice.

Story

In April last year I lost my mom to cancer. She had Birmingham hospice as one of her chosen charities because she has always donated to them throughout her lifetime. It has always been a charity close to her.

I have done both the 75km and 100km routes for Ride The Reservoir in previous years in which my mom came and supported me at the event both times. Both previous rides were completed on my mountain bike which was really challenging because it is a road event normally done on a road bike.

This year I will be taking on my biggest challenge by taking part in the 100 MILE route, in memory of my mom. This will also be completed on my mountain bike and I am expecting the ride to take 7-8 hours of constant riding.

The ride will take place just 3 days after the one year anniversary of her passing making the ride the perfect tribute to her. I really hope I can raise a good amount of money for such a good cause.
