Story
I'm running the Chelmsford marathon for the Stroke Association – in honour of my mum.
In 2012, my mum had a stroke that changed all our lives. Watching her face the challenges of recovery showed me just how vital support and care are during such a difficult time. That’s why I’m taking on this marathon – to raise money for the Stroke Association, a charity that does incredible work helping stroke survivors and their families rebuild their lives.
When I signed up to run the marathon, I had never run more than 7km in one go. I am not much of a runner, so please give generously so I never need to do this again.
