Story
Hello everyone,
This September, I am taking on the Great North Run to support a cause very close to my heart – the Sick Children’s Trust. I won’t be doing it alone; I’m honored to be running alongside my boyfriend George, his mum, his sister, our brother-in-law, and my dad. Together, we are united in our mission to raise funds for this incredible charity.
The Sick Children’s Trust provides essential support to families during one of the most challenging times in their lives – when their child is seriously ill in the hospital. The charity offers ‘Homes from Home’ where families can stay just minutes from their child’s bedside, ensuring they can be together when it matters most. This support goes beyond just a place to stay; SCT provides a warm, comforting environment and a listening ear, helping to ease the stress and anxiety that come with having a sick child.
Our team’s motivation stems from a personal connection. SCT was there for a close friend’s family when they needed it most, providing care and comfort during an incredibly tough period. Their experience highlighted the profound impact SCT can have, and it inspired us to support this wonderful charity.
Since 1982, SCT has helped over 73,000 families, offering them not just accommodation, but a sense of normalcy and relief during hospital stays. It’s the generosity of supporters that makes this possible, and we’re proud to join the ranks of those contributing to this life-changing work.
Please consider supporting our team as we run the Great North Run for SCT. Your donations will help ensure that more families can stay together and find comfort during their toughest times.
Thank you for your support!
