Story
Starting on March 3rd 2024, I will be running eight marathons on eight consecutive weekends for Muscular Dystrophy UK. This cause is important to me because of my close association with the Evans family. Brothers Gary and Paul Evans are living with this cruel disease and with your help, we can improve their quality of life.
The challenge is as follows:
March 3rd - Tokyo
March 10th - Cambridge Boundary Marathon
March 17th - Wales, The Great Welsh Marathon
March 23rd - Skegness, The Great British Seaside Marathon
April 1st (Easter Monday) - Lichfield Cathedral - 100 laps of Cathedral Close
April 7th - Brighton
April 15th - Boston
April 21st - London
I couldn’t be completing this challenge without the support of friends and family around me. On week 5, Tom Shepherd, owner of Upstairs Michelin star restaurant, will be sponsoring the marathon at the Cathedral. He will be providing food and drinks for spectators and supporters. There will also be the opportunity to get involved and join in with the marathon should you wish to do a lap or more, along with additional activities to raise money for the charity.
If you are a business owner and wish to sponsor the event, please contact me at tpafitness@hotmail.com for more details about the sponsorship package.
Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity for 111,000 people living with muscle-wasting conditions.
