Story
I'm trekking Dementia UK's National Three Peaks Challenge beginning 7th June 2024 which will see a team of 10 from ThinCats summit Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon over the course of 2 days.
This is a cause very close to my heart given I sadly lost my Grandfather in 2018, who was suffering from Vascular DementiaThe nurses and staff at St James's Hospital (Leeds) were absolutely fantastic in making him as comfortable as possible. I'm raising money as a small gesture of my appreciation for the excellent care they provide.
Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. The nurses, called Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing care to families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease. They help people with dementia stay independent for longer, and support the people caring for them so they have the strength to cope with the bad days, and the energy to enjoy the good days. They have the time to listen and the knowledge to solve problems, helping families take back control when they are struggling.
Any donation for this worthy cause will be greatly appreciated!
