Story
I'm taking part in the 2025 TCS London Marathon for Cure Parkinson's because they are here for the cure.
I'm running in support of my incredible wife, Ellie, who has Parkinson's. She was diagnosed 11 years ago at the age of 29. Since then we've faced the many challenges the condition has thrown at us, whilst also raising a family.
This last year has been particularly difficult with Ellie undergoing Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) not once but twice. Anyone who knows what the procedure involves knows just how mentally and physically exhausting it is. A walk in the park it is not! Following surgery, then begins the lengthy and arduous process of finding an optimum balance. I'm truly blessed in having such a courageous, amazing, inspiring wife. Hopefully, I can do my little bit to help others who may find themselves in a similar situation.
So little is understood and so much needs to be done in terms of awareness and funding for potential cures/treatments.
Helping us however you can makes all the difference.
Your donations will lead to the breakthrough we all want to see.
Together we will find a cure for Parkinson's.
