Story

Sadly we lost one of the most important people in our world last August.

It was all such a shock to us when Dad was diagnosed with MND at the end of April. Dad fought right until the end; but this horrible disease locked him into his body, unable to move, walk, talk and eventually breathe. There is currently no effective treatment and no cure for this horrible disease.

MND is a fatal, devastating disease that can affect anyone at any time. It attacks motor neurones, the nerves that control movement.

As a family, we want to raise awareness and funds for such an important charity that really supported Dad and our family.

My brothers, Simon and Olly, will be running the London marathon in 2024 and are on their way to hit their sponsorship goals.

Along with my mum, I am planning to undertake the 3 Peaks Challenge in honour of Dad’s fight. These peaks are Ben Nevis (Scotland), Scafell Pike (England) and Snowdon (Wales), with the aim to hike them in that order within three days.

If you are able to contribute it would be much appreciated. This wonderful charity supports so many families like ours to get the critical help and support they need during such a difficult time.
