Story
In October 2021, Jude Cunnane, aged 7 year died suddenly and sadly from complications of his rare complex genetic epilepsy.
Epilepsy is a cruel, debilitating and unpredictable disease that affects every single facet of life.
Young Epilepsy coordinates and fund epilepsy research into the causes, diagnosis and treatment of the condition, and its impact on all aspects of life for children, young people and their families.
Jude benefitted directly from groundbreaking treatment spearheaded by Professor Helen Cross of Great Ormond Street Hospital, who is a trustee of Young Epilepsy.
Living with epilepsy was a daily challenge for Jude. He did this with great determination, bravery and always with a beaming smile.
We are honoured that a team of 6 runners are taking on the challenge of running the London Marathon in memory of Jude for Young Epilepsy.
We know that you will feel his presence every step of the way and that is mantra will echo through your ears:
"Be Kind, Be Brave and Never Give Up"
Please give generously to help support the vital work undertaken by Young Epilepsy to help other children just like Jude.
Thanks for your support.
