Hana & Tom's fundraiser for RETT UK

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
Hi everyone,
This year, I am taking on the London Marathon and Ironman Austria for someone extremely special. My amazing niece Hana, who lives with Rett Syndrome.
Rett Syndrome is a rare, non-inherited genetic postnatal neurological disorder that predominantly affects girls, leading to severe impairments that touch nearly every aspect of their life: their ability to speak, walk, eat, and even breathe easily. Despite the unimaginable challenges my niece and many others face daily, she confronts them with a strength and grace that inspires everyone around her.
Rett UK is a charity dedicated to supporting individuals affected by Rett syndrome and their families. They provide emotional support, high-quality, accurate advice and information, advocacy, and help in reducing isolation. They empower families, build emotional resilience, and assist in making the lives of those with Rett syndrome worth living.
Your generosity can make a real difference in the lives of those affected by Rett Syndrome, providing essential services and research towards a better future.
While I have tackled marathons before, the Ironman is a whole different beast. The event encompasses a 2.4 mile swim, followed by a 112 mile bike ride, and topped off with a 26.2 mile run (a marathon) all in one go.
If you feel moved by this cause, I kindly ask for your support through a donation. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps us move closer to improving the lives of individuals with Rett Syndrome and their families.
