Story
I am taking on the Western Front Way Challenge with The Lewis Moody Foundation to help change the lives of the 88,000 people living with a brain tumour in the UK.
Our small team will cycle 1000km over the length of the first World War trench lines from Ptetterhouse on the Swiss boarder to the Belgium coast at Niewport for 5 days.
The route will average 57,000 feet of ascent and represent no fewer than 17 fallen soldiers for each metre, of the 1,000,000 metres we plan to cycle. The purpose of this cycle and the context in which it takes place are both extremely humbling and sobering.
The Lewis Moody Foundation works in partnership with the Brain Tumour Charity, helping to fund Family Days. These run throughout the year and take place all over the country, giving families the chance to escape from the daily routine of hospital visits and medical care.
The Brain Tumour Charity is at the forefront of the fight to defeat brain tumours. Every day it makes a difference to the lives of people living with a brain tumour as well as their families.
