Story
After blathering on about it for what seems like years, I am finally attempting my Norwich to London run in early June: roughly 230k in 3 days - from June 5 to 7.
Day 1 - I will follow the Via Beata from Norwich to Thetford.
Day 2 - The Icknield Way to Saffron Walden.
Day 3 - The River Stort and the New River to home.
It is obviously a big physical challenge, and it will be a tough mental one too.
And that latter challenge is why I am raising money for Open Door, a charity dedicated to improving the mental health and emotional well-being of young people at a critical point in time - their transition from childhood to adulthood.
Their accredited therapists undertake specialist assessments to develop a personalised program of support ranging from six weeks to two years.
Interventions are evidence-based and include psychotherapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, mindfulness and trauma focused therapy.
They also offer support for parents and carers facing the challenges of parenting teenagers.
