Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Saturday the 16th November 2024, myself, friends and colleagues from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, shall be hiking the 9 mile End to End route of the Malvern Hills wearing Firefighting PPE - Leggings, Tunic and where available, a breathing apparatus set. Firefighters are able to wear their own choice of footwear to avoid injury that could affect their firefighting duties.
Although the route consists of many beautiful views, it also incorporates many steep inclines, with its peak elevation being around 1400ft!
To view the route please see the link https://www.visitthemalverns.org/walk/end-to-end/
Why are we doing this?
Put simply, the Fire Fighters Charity is there when we need it most, they provide support to fire service staff for all eventualities, whether it be those suffering from mental health to physical injuries, they also support the direct families of fire service personnel, at no cost to the recipient.
The walk is all about getting together and pushing ourselves in aid of a great cause!
How can you help?
As we know, times are extremely tough at the moment, so even the smallest donation is appreciated! If you feel that you would like to get involved in other ways, a simple share on social media would go a long way! You can also get involved by joining us on the walk! (Please see below)
For those that would like to donate, we would really appreciate it, you never know when you may require the fire service, and the fire service never know when they may require the charity!
Friends, family and members of the public are more than welcome to join us on the walk, with more details being posted on our Facebook page.
