Story
Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit the page and learn more about Jen’s Special Place. I just wanted to provide a little background as to why I’m running the event and why I chose to raise awareness and funds for Jen’s Special Place. Follow the links provided below to learn a little more about the their work and the support that is available.
I was invited to join the “Rochdale Boys” on the quest to the Manchester Marathon late last year, something that I didn’t think too long or hard about. It offered an opportunity to train towards something whilst working towards a healthier version of myself. Running isn’t something I’ve been consistent with or taken seriously, but something I do enjoy doing from time to time. Nevertheless, I’m looking forward to the challenge ahead.
With signing up to the event, I had always planned on supporting a charity that was close to either myself or my family. After a conversation with my Aunite, I knew Jen’s Special Place was going to be the charity of choice.
Jen’s Special Place has provided support for my Aunite and Cousin (God Daughter) since the passing of my Uncle. My Uncle played a huge role in all of our lives and with his passing left a hole. The support that has since been provided by the charity has helped my Aunitie and Cousin through a very tough time.
This is why I am dedicating my run to Jen’s Special Place along with my Auntie Tiff, God Daughter Francesca and Uncle Al.
