Tom's Challenge 150

We provide free cancer support services to those affected by cancer.

Story

Hi Everyone, thanks for taking the time to visit my Charity Fundraising Page.

I am raising money for

STAR THROWERS - CANCER SUPPORT.

I have been inspired by my work's departments fundraising activities called Challenge 150 which is holding fundraising activities for Cancer charities. I have selected to personally to raise money for Star Throwers due to the amazing work they do to supports those in the area on their cancer journey including their family and friends. Please take the time to read all about the excellent things they do to support people through a really tough time!

So what am I doing to earn your monies. Well I am entered into London Marathon this spring, but in my craziness and to link in with the Challenge 150 theme I thought that 26 miles was not enough! So alongside the marathon I am doing two more challenging events to get up to 150 miles:

London Marathon Run - 26 miles (27th April)

Suffolk Sunrise Cycle Ride - 102 miles (18th May).

Boudicca Way UltraMarathon - 31 miles (19th July)

Ok so this 159 miles not 150 miles, but that's just roundings.

This is going to be a pretty tough challenge, for an overweight middle aged man closer to 50 than 40, and having never done a marathon before, but I believe with support, training and the incentive of your donations I can achieve this.

Please be aware my work Aviva offer Charity Matching up to £1,000, so hopefully anything raised will receive extra through this.

All support, no matter how large or small will be greatly appreciated.

Wish me luck (I think I will need it!!)

Thanks

Tom Bailey
