Story
Hi, my name is Toby, I'm 7 years old. Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.
I really enjoy spending time in the countryside with my family and my dogs. My dad spends the shooting season picking up with the dogs and occasionally shooting.
I often go with him either to stand with him on peg (he's not a very good shooter) or I go beating with my mum and our friends.
We always take at least a brace if not more home for a meal. My dad, who is also fundraising for The Country Food Trust and aims to swim 10k in the serpentine later this year, was telling me about the work the country food trust do to provide people in need with quality food from the countryside.
I asked my parents if could help and fundraise for The Country Food Trust, I asked to run a marathon but my parents said that was out of the question at 7 years old, but they did say they'd help me run a mile everyday in January.
Since January the 1st, me, mummy, daddy and the dogs have run (sometimes walked in parts) in the cold, wet, windy, ice and snowy conditions around the farm we live on.
As a family we aim to run 100 miles throughout January.
A marathon is 26.2 miles my parents thought it was a good idea to set a fundraising target of £262.
Thank you for reading my story, I hope you'll check out The Country Food Trust website and what the charity are doing to support those in need, by providing meals for anyone who needs it.
All the best,
Toby, Laura (mummy) Jake (daddy) and the dogs.
