Toby's fundraiser for Bone Cancer Research Trust

Climbing Snowdon
In January 2020 I was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma. My life came crashing to a halt. I was on cruise mode. I hadn't turned 30 yet and we were in the middle of wedding planning following proposing to my girlfriend a few months prior.
Cancer? At this age? I am sure that is what most people think when they get a diagnosis like that. No family history of this particular cancer, and I was living a healthy and fit lifestyle.
I was working out daily so inititally thought I'd done myself some kind of injury but the diganosis was a lot worse.
Fast forward to the end of 2020 and I was very lucky to get surgery and all my chemotherapy in during the Covid pandemic.
My recovery was a long one, both physically and mentally.
We got married in 2021 and honeymooned in Cornwall inbetween lockdowns.
I am now fitter and more determined than ever. I am now heavier and doing my best to be more athletic than I was previously.
I had climbed Snowdon a couple of times before so now deem it the right time to do it again, this time the difference being my left leg is mostly bionic (replacement knee and big titanium rod).
Please give whatever you can do to this great charity.

The Bone Cancer Research Trust is dedicated to saving lives & improving outcomes for people affected by primary bone cancer. Despite being small, they fund more research projects exploring primary bone cancer than any other organisation. Other large UK cancer research charities do not prioritise bone cancer patients, in 2019 just 0.028% of their research spend went to bone cancer – not even close to 1%!
Last year alone, Bone Cancer Research Trust committed an incredible £807,824 to pioneering bone cancer research - to save lives!
