We provide emergency medical care worldwide to people affected by conflict & disasters.

Story

It's a time of turbulence and difficulty for a lot of people in the world. This is an invitation to take part in a TLAS community winter fundraiser in support of Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF).

MSF is an important medical humanitarian aid organisation.

They provide emergency assistance to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics and natural or man-made disasters, without discrimination and irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.

They work in over 70 countries and go to the places where others cannot or choose not to go.

I followed a friend's journey some years ago as she went to South Sudan as a midwife. She and her fellow MSF colleagues put themselves at considerable risk and had to live on a guarded compound, doing vital work to support the local community. I was blown away by what they were achieving and can attest to their reach. My old GP in Germany has also done time with them.

Wishing everyone a nice festive season!

Best wishes from,

Katja
