3 Local Ryde Businesses have join together to help raise money for Benji and Balu.

Join us with our “Barefoot” Walk on Sunday 29th September at the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary in aid of Benji and Balu 2 🐻🐻 The Wildheart Animal Sanctuary are trying to rescue from a Concrete Pit in Azerbaijan.

The Walk will start at The Wildheart Animal Sanctuary 1-1.30pm to Hope Beach, Shanklin and return.

Helps Us Rescue Balu & Benji

Brothers Benji and Balu have spent most of their lives on the side of a restaurant, surviving off scraps from the restaurant and customers. Animal welfare standards are low in Azerbaijan with limited enforcement of the few legal protections that exist. Both bears were malnourished and had significant damage to their teeth from bar-biting, a common stress indicator. The damage to Balu’s teeth was so severe that he had to have two teeth extracted upon examination.

We have a suitable area earmarked within our site but we need your help to create an inspiring place for our rescue bears to call home.

Every pound raised can help us reach our goal of £150,000 to ensure a suitable home and transport for these worthy animals.
