Story
In June 2025, I will be tackling The Tour 21 on behalf of Cure Leukaemia, alongside 24 amateur cyclists as we look to complete the full Tour de France route one week ahead of the professionals.
Starting in Lille, The Tour 21 will take place across June and July and will tackle all 21 grueling stages and 3,500km of the Tour de France route - one of the world's most grueling sporting challenges.
This year's Tour route will be announced in October and will see us pass through many different terrains and immense challenges - before finishing at the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Personally, for me this started as a cycling challenge, and a biking friend that has been affected by leukaemia. Two short weeks later, I have met four other families affected by this dreaded disease. I am now focused on helping them with a new understanding the importance of this million-dollar fundraiser.
JESS, diagnosed at 20 in 2002, now living her best life in Chicago
DAVE, son was diagnosed as an infant, sadly lost the battle
JOE, diagnosed in 2020 at 65 with Chronic Myeloid Luekaemia treating with medication
Jxxx (waiting for permission to tell his story 9-24-2025)
JEFF, son (Caleb) diagnosed at 18, sadly lost the battle on January 13, 2019
It has been an emotional journey for me, my heart breaks for every one of these stories. I will carry these stories with me on every mile of the Tour. When the riding gets challenging, I will look to them for strength to complete the day.
Thank you for your help!
Tim
