Did you know that older care home residents are twice as likely to feel severely lonely as older people living at home in their community?

But there is hope! Embracing Age mobilises volunteers to make regular joy and companionship visits to residents in care homes - as trained befrienders, including sending monthly handmade cards and other initiatives to show the resident that they are not alone.

By donating to my challenge, you'll enable more residents to enjoy regular companionship and know they are not forgotten. Just £10 could fund the vetting required to place a new volunteer befriender with a resident.

Together, we will help more older care home residents feel valued, connected and full of hope.
