Story

Last year I quoted the words of Steve Redgrave e.g ‘If you ever see me near this race again you have permission to shoot me !’ Well, please dont shoot me as I’m running the Brighton Half again, no 6. I think ?

Why am I running it, two reasons: Sally(my wife) passed away on the 1st August 2023(on our 20th wedding anniversary), days before she passed away she did say to me I should run it to keep me busy but the other reason why I’m running was the extraordinary care Sally and our family received during the last 10 days of Sallys life at the Martlets. as well as the care she received their in January 2021.

Also our niece(Alice), Sallys brother, Tom, his partner Bonnie and her cousin Joe are all running as well.

When Sally first went to the Marlets I thought that was it, Hospice care is end of life and that was it. However, Sally recovered with their care got out and we had really great 2022.

The second time in July 2023 we knew it was serious as the hospital said they could do no more and we were happy that Sally would have her last days their and given the care by the whole team from Receptionist to Consultant they couldn’t do any more.

Given the great care they give, please donate as its going to a great cause.

Many thanks

Tim
