Story
In June 2025, I will be tackling The Tour 21 on behalf of Cure Leukaemia, alongside 24 amateur cyclists as we look to complete the full Tour de France route one week ahead of the professionals.
Starting in Lille, The Tour 21 will take place across June and July and will tackle all 21 gruelling stages and 3,320km of the Tour de France route - one of the world's most gruelling sporting challenges.
This year's Tour route has some awesome climbs including the massive Mont Ventoux (21.2km @ 7.5%), it will see us pass through many different terrains and plenty of incline (51,550m in total!) - before finishing at the Eiffel Tower in Paris.... hoping my legs get me this far!
It will be without doubt the hardest physical challenge I've ever undertaken, and the training commitment itself to get me to the start line in good shape is immense. So why do it? Simple really, to raise much needed funds for an incredible charity that is making a huge difference to those diagnosed with Leukaemia- through clinical trials, they are positively changing outcomes for sufferers, giving back life and hope to thousands. The Tour 21 will be tough, but it won't be a patch on what others go through each and every day. Please give as much as you can for this great cause.
