Story
From what started as short 20 mile rides on a rusty old mountain bike to investing in a proper road bike and taking on longer routes around Norfolk, I have really enjoyed cycling around the local countryside in recent years.
I have now decided to push myself to the limit by taking on The Lap of Anglia; a four-day, 435-mile lap around East Anglia, raising funds for the East Anglian Air Ambulance. This route will take me through five counties covering a total elevation of 14,167ft (half the height of Everest!)
This will be a big personal challenge for me - and a distance I haven't tackled before - so any sponsorship would be greatly appreciated. It will help to motivate me when my legs have gone!
East Anglian Air Ambulance is a 365-day-a-year helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) covering Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk & Suffolk. It exists to save lives by delivering highly skilled doctors and critical care paramedics by air to seriously ill or injured people in the region. The charity does not receive regular direct government funding and the £17 million they need to raise this year comes directly from charitable donations. They are only kept airborne thanks to incredible donors like you!
Thanks in advance for your support!
