Story

A couple of years ago I was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer I’d never heard of but I count myself lucky because it was found at an early stage and progresses very slowly. It was still a disorienting experience so I was also fortunate to find WMUK, the only UK charity dedicated to Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinaemia, which provides tons of information and support for those with this condition along with their families and friends.

So I’m very pleased to be taking part in a bike ride from London to Paris to raise funds for WMUK this August. The ride will involve both WM patients and some of the consultants who specialise in this disease. This event is an opportunity to create awareness of WM and WMUK, as well as to raise much needed funds. WMUK’s goal is to improve the quality of life and survival of people with WM by providing support, and ultimately finding a cure.

I’m going to cover all of my own costs for this event so every pound you donate will support the charity.

Thanks in anticipation of your donations!
