In October this year I will be joining a team of intrepid explorers in a 12 day trek through the Himalayan mountains of Nepal to reach Everest Base Camp, at an altitude of 5,364m. Some of you will recall that I was part of a team to conquer the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in 2022 and your very generous donations allowed me to raise almost £5,000 (including Gift Aid) for such an important charity.

2wish provides immediate bereavement support for families, individuals and professionals who have suddenly and traumatically lost a child or young adult aged 25 years and under.

When a family loses a child or young adult the effects are devastating for all who knew and loved them. It is important that support is available if and when required.

It is important families know that they are not alone and that the feelings they are experiencing are often normal.

With close friends having been directly affected and supported by 2 Wish this local, and now National, charity is very close to my heart.

The trek has been fully funded by myself through singing, conducting and refereeing rugby, and by the generous support of some individual sponsors. This means that all of the money raised here will go directly to the charity.
