Story

My plan was to ride my trike 249 miles from Leeds to Glasgow over 4 days camping en-route. Yesterday (27th July 2023) I arrived in Glasgow after 4 days riding - 49 hours 30 minutes, 2 nights camping, one hotel, 227.8 miles done, and 13,625 feet of climbing. If I had known I was intending to climb more than 3 Ben Nevis's, maybe I'd have chosen a different route!

To all who helped me along the way - friends and strangers, with encouragement and donations - I am with unbelievably grateful - thank you so much!!!

Original post "In January 2020, my brilliant big brother Tom (79) died in Canada – he had Parkinson’s and Lewy body dementia.

I want to raise money for Parkinson's UK; they fund research into the most promising treatments, getting closer to a cure every day.

Tom's motorbikes, along with his motorcycle magazines, imprinted on me a life long love of motorcycling. However I can't do the trip on a motorcycle as I sold my last two in 2019, so it'll be by recumbent tricycle instead!

I'm planning to ride the 249 miles from Leeds to Glasgow over 4 days camping en-route.
