Event: 51st Dysart's Snowmobile Ride-In Weekend, from 1 February 2024 to 4 February 2024
Beginning in 1974, the Ride-in to benefit Pine Tree Camp has become a tradition with snowmobilers riding to support Pine Tree Camp, a year-round camp for Maine children and adults with disabilities.

Story

Meet celebrity rider Tim Davis and his super cool dog, Marek! This Rockland Police Department K-9 handler has racked up over 900,000 followers on TikTok who tune in to see how he and Marek protect, serve and take part in their community. “Maine is one giant community. We’re all connected. Pine Tree Camp is 100% what we want to get behind.” Tim is passionate about mentoring the next generation and showing the human side of being a cop. Since saying yes to being a celebrity rider in the Dysart’s Ride-in, he discovered he has many friends with a long history at camp. “One of my best friends met his wife there, another helped campers play basketball. Pine Tree Camp is in my circle and now that I’ve opened that door, there are more and more connections.” Show your support today.

Pine Tree Camp opened its gates in 1945 as a summer camp for children with physical disabilities. Over the years, it has evolved into a place where children and adults with disabilities are able to participate in all the recreational activities for which Maine is known all year long. The barrier-free setting, along with an amazing staff, ensure that activities like swimming, fishing, kayaking, hiking, boating and even camping in a tent under the stars are completely accessible to all. Participating in activities that take people beyond their disability has a tremendous impact. It builds self-esteem and self-confidence. That experience coupled with meeting friends who understand and experiencing the feeling of acceptance is transformational. Pine Tree Camp welcomes all who could benefit regardless of their ability to pay tuition. All proceeds from the Snowmobile Ride-In will go to Pine Tree Camp's fund to ensure this "Open Door Policy" remains in effect.
