Story
St Wilfrid’s Hospice is an incredible charity offering end of life care to those with terminal illnesses. Located in West Sussex and Hampshire, St Wilfrid’s Hospice provides invaluable support and comfort to those going through terminal illness. The charity offer this service free of charge, so rely largely on generous donations and fundraising from the public.
The Moonlight Walk, taking place in Chichester on the 15th of June, raises a large amount of money which helps to fund the hospice. It costs over £9 million a year to run the Hospice, so fundraisers such as Moonlight Walk help to raise money to cover the costs and allow St Wilfrid’s to continue to provide expert care and compassion to people with life limiting illnesses in the local community.
The Moonlight Walk also gives those who have lost their loved ones to life-ending illnesses a chance to honour them. We will be walking in memory Kate Brook who passed away in November 2022, she and our family experienced the incredible and compassionate support offered by the hospice so the Moonlight Walk is also a genuine gesture of gratitude to this charity. Kate also participated in the Moonlight Walk not too long ago for similar reasons so taking part feels all the more fitting for us.
As close family and friends of Kate, this event is very close to our hearts so any donations would be massively appreciated.
Hospice care changes lives so please donate what you can.
