Story

You might have heard that every 3 minutes, dementia steals someone’s “happily ever after.” It takes away partners, grandparents, and loved ones, often leaving them as a shadow of who they once were. Our best hope of changing this fate lies in research – to develop new treatments, understand the disease better, and ultimately, find a cure.

I am raising funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK), the UK’s leading dementia research charity, which exists solely to find a cure. As a scientist funded by ARUK, I’ve seen firsthand the impact your donations have. Your support helps researchers like me uncover new ways to diagnose and treat dementia, bringing us one step closer to ending this heartbreaking disease.🧡

To show my appreciation, I’m running the 2025 Paris Marathon, and I’d love to carry your name with me along the River Seine on a special ribbon as I run. With every donation, you can choose to have your name—or the name of a loved one affected by dementia—written on my ribbon. It’s my way of honoring your support and those we’re fighting for.

Your generosity fuels hope. Please join me in this journey by donating to this vital cause.
