The Martlets is a local charity providing essential care to people affected by terminal illness in Brighton and Hove, and surrounding areas.

My decision to participate in the Martlets half marathon, comes with the aim of raising funds for the Martlets. This has stemmed from a deeply personal experience. Witnessing the support provided by the Martlets during my grandfather's illness has influenced my commitment to the organisation.

The compassionate care and assistance provided by the Martlets during his challenging time of need really helped us cherish every last moment we had with him, and I wish to support them so that they can help other families that are in-need.

As I prepare myself, I am driven by the desire to honour my grandfather and make him proud.
