Story
Thanks all for you lovely comments in congratulating me into getting into the London marathon 2025 which will take place on Sunday the 27th of April
I've also secured a place too take part in the London half marathon on Sunday 6th of April 2025
I will be running on behalf of the ME Association for both races.
I'm going to use this just giving platform below for both races, it is titled for the London half but I've had permission from the charity too extend it for the London marathon 2025 as well.
As some of you are aware but not many as we have kept this diagnosis quiet while we learn more about it. Our daughter Taylor Speed at 13 has recently been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome / M.E, All you can do with this condition is be there too support them and comfort them when they need it etc.
I would like too be able too think I'm doing at least something too help her, because as a parent at the moment I feel useless that there is nothing I can do for her hopefully by raising some funds this will put me in a better place with it all that I am actually helping her and others find an answer finally on how too beat this horrible condition.
If anyone can donate to this worthy cause that is close to my heart that would be very much appreciated, I know moneys tight but if you can donate anything at all that would be much appreciated thanks
For those of you who don't know what this condition is please read below :
The ME Association is there for every one of the 265,000 people in the UK whose lives have been blighted by ME (Myalgic Encephalopathy), otherwise known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome - and for those still suffering the lingering effects of Long Covid which in many cases can look so much like ME/CFS
The smallest exertion can floor them; their joints and muscles ache unbearably; restful sleep eludes them; and ‘brain fog’ clouds their thinking. It changes lives drastically – disrupting study; making work impossible; and straining family relations to breaking point. Many sufferers cannot leave their homes. There is no known cure.
Thanks again all
