London Marathon 2024 · 21 April 2024 ·

In 2023, 59 MACS runners raised a whopping £90,000 excluding Gift Aid. With more places in the 2024 event, we're hoping to smash the £100K mark. Good luck Team MACS!

Story

The one sense that I have always been so grateful for is my eyesight. Many times I have wondered how different my life would be without it. Sadly, my Godfathers son lost his eyesight over a year ago out of the blue whilst in his forties. Moody and myself have decided to take on a few marathon challenges now but also enjoy trying to raise some money for charity as well. We have chosen MACS for London marathon in 2024. A little about the charity below.

This year, 114 families in the UK will be told their babies have no eyes, small eyes, or a cleft in the eye. Many of them will have additional needs or other health challenges. Some will be told there’s no hope that their child will ever see.

MACS is the UK's national charity for children born without eyes or with underdeveloped eyes. They help over 3000 people from 1000 families across the UK, supporting them at every stage of their journey by providing peer support, practical help and opportunities to take part in life-changing activity trips.
