Bit of a personal reason for running this for me. 1) I talked the Princes Ops guys into doing it so couldn't back out and 2) This year marks 30 years of been all clear after being diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia at the tender age of 2 and a-half.

Now I know what you're thinking, as I sit here and write this, and you're correct to think it... I am also saying "how is this fat get gonna make it 13 and a half miles." Scary thought, but I promise you (and myself) that I will complete that course even if I have to crawl over the line.

With that said I would like to raise a minimum of £200 for Manchester's local childrens hospital in honor of the kids and families fighting the battles me and mine did all those years ago.

So go on, laugh it in but if I am one thing it is stubborn and also a battler so this half marathon is nothing.

Dig deep for some spare cash for a great cause.
