Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many people already know, I adopted Bobbie and Nellie, two Ex-Racing Greyhounds back in May 2020, after multiple failed attempts at re-homing the pair.
From stars on the track, to permanently passed out on a sofa, it’s safe to say all our lives changed the moment they first bounded through the front door, and I wouldn’t change a minute of it.
Unfortunately, not all greyhounds are as lucky with thousands of well-mannered, graceful, and goofy hounds still looking for their forever homes. Couple this with a nation-wide misunderstanding of the breed, they’re very often overlooked despite being what can only be described as the best family dog you could ask for (not that I’m bias).
With Greyhound Racing fast becoming a thing of the past, now more than ever the Greyhound Trust need as much support as possible to continue doing their incredible work in finding the right homes for the hounds.
From June 2024 to June 2025, I’m running an Ultramarathon (30+ miles) every month through both organised and personal races, with a few epic adventures thrown in the mix, to support the incredible efforts of the charity.
Long story short, I’m running so they don’t have to!
