Story

Life is short.

Nothing made that so clear to me as losing my dear friend Hazel at such a tragically young age.

The older I get and the more time goes by, the more I understand how much of that tragedy is bound up in a beautiful future being denied. But it serves to remind us that every day that we awake on this planet truly is a miracle and, even more, cause for celebration.

But beyond serving as a reminder for us to look for the joy in our daily lives, it has probably never been more important to support causes that are close to us and those that lift people up. Causes that enable those whose daily circumstance might otherwise make celebration more challenging.

Hazel's Footprints Trust supports three brilliant initiatives:

- Educational projects to provide access to education to children in developing countries

- Volunteer grants that not only enable volunteers to really live their lives to the fullest but also provide educational support around the globe, following, quite literally, in Hazel's footprints

- Partner schools - two schools, Otjikondo - very dear to Hazel herself and Ngambenyi a direct creation of Hazel's legacy, thrive with the benefit of support from HFT

Every step I take both in training and in London will be following in Hazel's footprints; it's never been so important for us to provide support as individuals to our fellow humans around the world - please do give whatever you can.

As the motto of Otjikondo reminds us, the journey of a thousand [26.2] miles begins with a single step - see you in London!
