🚴♂️ Tom and Ben's Gravel Dash for CCS Adoption 🚴♂️
Riding 100 Miles of Grit and Gravel for a Vital Cause
On May 24th, we’re taking on the Dorset Gravel Dash 50:50 — a 100 mile, 2 day off-road bike packing adventure along the beautiful but brutal trails of the Jurassic Coast. We’ll be hauling our camping gear, tackling tough terrain, and riding through the stunning Dorset countryside — all in support of CCS Adoption, a charity doing crucial work with adopted children and families.
Why we're fundraising
Right now, there’s an urgent need. Government delays in processing applications for the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund (ASGSF) mean that many adopted children are left without the vital therapeutic support they rely on. Creative therapies, family therapy, life story work — these aren’t just “nice to have.” They help children heal from early trauma, build resilience, and keep adoptive placements stable and loving.
CCS Adoption is working hard to bridge this funding gap until the government process catches up. But they need help to do it. A pot of £5,000 would enable them to offer at least one (ideally two) therapy sessions to each family affected — a small but powerful lifeline during this uncertain time.
