UK 3 Peaks Challenge (24 Hours) · 28 October 2023

Fire Fighters Charity provides care and support to the UK’s fire family. It helps with any health and wellbeing challenges firefighters, control staff, and everyone working in – or retired from – the UK’s fire services, as well as their families, may face - during and after service

Story

On Saturday 28th October, 5 Firefighters from Bicester Fire Station will be attempting the UK's 3 Peaks Challenge in aid of The Firefighters Charity.

This challenge, involves climbing, descending and then travelling between the 3 highest peaks in the UK, all in under 24 hours!

Our challenge will start in Scotland, tackling Ben Nevis, before we make our way down to the Lake District to take on Scaffel Pike, before finishing in Wales to summit Snowdon...

The challenge will include a total of 15 hours climbing, over 11,000 ft of ascent, and 22 miles covered... all in less than 1 day. The challenge is considered "extreme", with only 40% of participants completing the challenge, so wish us luck!

We will be raising money for the Firefighters Charity, which relies on donations to help and support Fire Service staff UK-wide, physically should they be injured or un-able to work, mentally, and socially. For more information please visit:
