My name is Alvaro de la Camara and I am the co-founder of Cycling4soup, a collective using sport as a means to share different stories, explore new challenges and bring together communities by raising awareness and support to different organisations in need.

We have set our sights on attempting to complete the Three Big Rounds, which are Paddy Buckley, Charlie Ramsay and Bob Graham. Each of these rounds are 100km with a whopping elevation of 8,500m each, that's like going up Everest on each run... They are all fell types of running and navigation will be the trickiest. Most of the people attempt this over the course of a year, but due to other commitments and family life, I only have a window of 2 and half months to hit the three runs. Leaving 2.5 weeks in between each other and making planning and training the most important part of it, specially logistics around recovery times, and bearing in mind that running is the weakest of the disciplines for me.

We will be raising funds for The Maypole Project, which is a UK based organisation that helps kids with complex medical needs and their families for as long as they need. It is a non-government funded organisation, which means the pandemic had a massive impact on the way they operate, and every help makes a massive difference on those kids’ lives.
